My Little Pony Makeover
By Jeffrey on November 26th, 2009Posted In: Blog,General Artistic Inspirations
From her childhood, my wife held onto an old My Little Pony doll which I was recently given permission to modify. Being the imaginative individual that she was, my wife named it “Pony”. Incidentally, she has also named one of her stuffed rabbit, “Rabbit”. Pharmacists are left brained creatures, you see.
Originally, Pony was yellow in color and sported huge bushy 80′s Farrah Fawcett pink/green/yellow hair. Complimenting that was a long bushy pink/green/yellow tail that dragged limply behind it. Unfortunately, I did not get a BEFORE picture of Pony. However, with a quick scour of the Internet via Google, I was able to pull up this picture which is very close to what Pony originally looked like.
Here is what Pony looks like now with a 2009 Black Rainbow make over via black spray paint, scissors, and texturizer. Along with these fabulous new changes, from now on, Pony has requested to be addressed as Lady VoxTrot. To augment the new tough and punkish demeanor, Lady VoxTrot has been blessed with a Mohawk to show off her strong Sara Jessica Parker facial features and lighten the bulk on top of her head. Her tail has also been shortened in length and thickness in order to show off the ample boo-tay. OWWW!
Gone are the days of splashing through waterfalls, flying under rainbows, and frolicking through green meadows. Lady VoxTrot sleeps all day and can now be found in clubs dancing every night to drum n’ bass, grime, and garage under the heavy influence of street pharmaceuticals.
Apparently, there is a whole subculture of enthusiasts who modify these dolls. There are some very innovative and creative examples online. To see more My Little Pony modification, check out this link:

Love the pony’s new name. And I love the comparison to SJP! LOL
